Self-image and Life Satisfaction of Single Employed Woment

Abstract

|
Puipose: The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between self-image and life satisfaction in single employed women.
Methods: The data were collected from November 1St to November 30th 2011, a descriptive survey using self-administered questionnaire was conducted with 112 single employed women, The data were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 12.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson`s correlation coefficient,
Results: There was a significant difference in self-image according to age (t=2.76, p= .007). There was no significant difference in life satisfaction according to subjects` general characteristic. There was a significant correlation between self-image and life satisfaction in single employed women (r=-.39, p< .001).
Conclusion: There is a need to develop a strategy for positive self-image in order to promote the life satisfaction in single employed women.
